In partnership with a Idalina, a Seattle based jewelry designer, the goal was to create a luxe accessories lookbook for her Perilune jewelry line. The final images were meant to be used on various digital platforms, including her website and social media.
Close up images of the hand created sculptural gestures, and with a high contrast of colour and light, the form appears almost alien. To reduce costs, the shoot took place using natural light, the designer’s own hand, and the deep cobalt raw pigment was purchased from the local art supply store. The blue colour was chosen based on Idalina’s inspiration of underwater creatures and the nighttime sky.
Editorial images were produced without the use of a studio, model or makeup artist. The photography showed a strong focus on product and illustrated a mystic, otherworldly energy.
